Race for Individuals and Teams
Rego from 8.30am. Briefing 10.15 am. Race start 10.30am

                               Great way to start spring for the serious Multisporters and the perfect
                                   Race for first timers to try their hand at Multisport 
Multisport Race 8.5 km run, 27 km Road cycle, 17 km River Kayak
Duathlon 8.5 km run, 25 km Road cycle, 2 km run .

The Run - 8.5km Starting and finishing at the corner of McLennans Bush and Rosehill roads the run takes you in a circle Approx 3 km shingle road, 1.5 km up Pudding Hill stream, 2 km through the Awa Awa Rata Reserve, 2.5 km Shingle Road to the finish this is a really cool run the fastest time will be around 38 min, first time Wanabe
Multisporters around 55 to 60 min.

The Cycle - 27km or 25km(Duathlon) For the Multisporters Cyclists head down McLennans Bush Road turn left onto Arundel Rakaia Gorge Road for approx 7 km then turn left onto Blackford Road for 6.5km where they will turn around and head back down to turn left onto Arundel Rakaia Gorge Road again which they will follow for approx 3.5 km to the Kayak transition in the Rakaia Gorge Cross both bridges and enter the River Bed on the north side there will be Marshals stationed at the entry point.
- Team cyclists will tag there kayaker just as they enter the River Bed car park on the north side.
For the Duathlon competitors Cyclists head down McLennans Bush Road turn left onto Arundel Rakaia Gorge Road for aprox 6 km then turn right onto Mt Hutt Station Road for aprox 2.5 km then left onto Rakaia River Road for 13.5 km then turn left onto Rakaia Barrhill Methven Road for aprox 800 meters finishing at the Run transition

The Kayak - 16km or 2km Run (Duathlon) For the Multisporters Kayakers will start on the North side of the Rakaia Gorge Bridge.Team Kayakers will have to tag their cyclist then run 150 meters to their kayak.(Kayakers will not require a grade two ticket but river paddle experience and self rescue procedures will be a must) the kayak leg is much the same as the Brass Monkey course. The finish line will be close to the Kayak get out !!!!.
For the Duathlon competitors aprox 2 km run down Lowes cutting to finish in the river bed close to the kayak get out.
Support Crew Briefing & Rules
Rego from 8.30am, Briefing 10.15am, Race start 10.30 am, Prize giving and BBQ 3pm at the Blue Pub.
-The run starts on the corner of McLennans Bush Road and Rosehill Road. It will be sign posted from the Main Rd and parking will be on private property on the South side of the road.
- Please be aware of traffic travelling to the Ski field

Individual Multisport Support Crews will have to leave to the Kayak transition before the race start. Only Team support crews will be allowed to stay. Crews will head down McLennans Bush road turn left onto Arundel Rakaia Gorge Road follow that to you get to the Rakaia Gorge cross the two bridges and enter the riverbed on the North side of the river it will be signposted and Marshalled.
-There will be random checks of kayak gear at the put in and at the finish so make sure you have it all.    
- Team Kayakers will tag their team cyclist at the entry to the riverbed and run the 150m down to their
kayak.
- Support crews are to take extreme care leaving the river bed. Please follow Marshal Instructions There will be cyclists entering as you are leaving, be aware of them.
- Support crews turn left out of the river bed, head South on Arundel Rakaia Gorge Road. Turn left onto Mt Hutt Station Road, follow for 2.5 km then turn left onto Rakaia River Road for 13.5 km. Then turn left onto Rakaia Barrhill Methven Road follow for 800m then veer left onto a shingle road that goes down to the river bed. Be aware of Duathlon runners running down to the finish line.
Individual Duathlon Support Crews will have to leave to the Run transition before the race start. Only Team support crews will be allowed to stay. Crews will head down McLennans Bush Road (Stop) then proceed across the road when clear onto Waimarama Road. After the RDR crossing turn left onto Mt Hutt Station road for approx 250m then first right onto Back Track follow to Barkers Road (Stop).Then cross Barkers Road when clear, you will merge with Barrhill Methven Road follow to the Cycle get off at Lowes Cutting. There will be Marshals there to guide you to the parking area. Once your cyclist has gone through please take care when you are driving down to the river bed and be aware of runners.

-Prize giving will start around 3pm we will be recognising performance with medals all sponsorship will go to the spot prize draw you will have to be there to claim it.
